City of Fairfax Cue Bus System
The city's CUE Bus system not only serves as a feeder network to the Vienna/Fairfax-GMU Metrorail Station, but also provides regularly scheduled, low-cost service to George Mason University, shopping centers, and other locations within the City of Fairfax.

City of Fairfax Parks and Recreation
Within the City of Fairfax's six square miles, there are 21 parks with pavilions, play equipment, sports fields, and trails. Daniel's Run Park is a forested jewel within easy walking distance of Great Oaks. Shady in summer and sunny in winter, it is a beautiful spot to "get away from it all."

City of Fairfax Public Schools
Great Oaks is conveniently located to three schools: Fairfax High School is located directly across the street from Great Oaks. Lanier Middle School is 3 miles west of, and an 8-minute drive from, Great Oaks. And Daniels Run Elementary school is ¼ mile from Great Oaks.
